From Self-Healing to Empowering others: The Story behind iSmudge.
Hi, I’m Amie, and I’ve been up to my elbows in negative energy for over a decade now. My work involves using the Akashic Records to uncover the root cause of negativity in people and properties. But here’s the twist: I didn’t start out wanting to help others—I was just trying to sort myself out! Honestly, I was in no fit state to even think about working with people. My self-healing journey was purely for survival.
From Hot Mess to Helping Others
When I started this work, I cleared not just myself but also my home. At the time, I didn’t have a clue what I’d done, I was just relieved to feel better. But, as I began working with others, and created Earthbound Together my business in helping others clear the emotional baggage they’d been lugging around (most of it since childhood), I noticed a problem. They’d feel amazing after a session but would come back for more within months.
This wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted my clients to have lasting results, not to be stuck in a revolving door of clearings. Then it hit me: the problem wasn’t just them—it was where they lived. Our environments have their own energy, and we’re like sponges, soaking it up.
It’s like having a shower and then hopping back into sweaty gym clothes—you’re never going to feel fresh. So, I changed my approach. I started with clearing people’s homes first, and the results were mind-blowing. Some clients never needed a personal clearing again! Turns out, if you clear the space you live in, your energy adapts to it. Who knew?!
The Big Questions
As I continued working, the questions started rolling in:
• How do I keep this feeling going?
• What if my partner doesn’t believe in all this “woo-woo” stuff?
• How do I stop negative energy coming into my home in the first place?
That’s when iSmudge was born. I realised people needed tools that were simple, effective, and intentional. But I wasn’t about to slap my name on just anything. Oh no, I had a checklist:
1. Support local communities and farmers—I wanted the products to give back to the earth and the people who cultivate it.
2. Pure as the driven snow—the best, ethically sourced products with as small a carbon footprint as possible. (Because who wants to clear negative energy with products that are bad for the planet?!)
3. Specific, high-vibration intentions—because aimless smudging is like asking a kettle to make you a cuppa without turning it on.
Intention Alchemy (a Fancy Name for Magic with a Plan)
Here’s the thing about clearing energy: it’s not about waving sage around like you’re in a Harry Potter movie. You need two key ingredients:
1. Awareness – Know what you’re clearing. If you’re feeling angry, sad, or life’s just one big headache, that’s your body’s way of saying, “Oi! This needs sorting!”
2. Specific Intention – Forget vague requests like “please clear this space.” You need clarity, high vibes, and a sprinkle of joy.
I became what I like to call an intention alchemist—a bit like a modern-day energy chef, mixing the right intentions with the right products to create powerful results.
Testing the Magic
Naturally, I had to test everything first. So, I roped in some of my clients (with their permission, of course) to see if my products and intentions actually worked. And guess what? They did! Combining awareness, intention, and guidance made all the difference. It wasn’t just me saying it—my clients could feel the shift in their homes and in themselves.

iSmudge isn’t just a business—it’s a labour of love (and a lot of trial and error). I created it to help humanity by clearing negativity from our spaces so we can heal ourselves. It’s called Intentional Smudging, blending ancient practices with a modern, no-nonsense approach.
Smudging has been around for centuries, but somewhere along the way, people forgot the practice and focused on the gear. It’s like having all the ingredients for a cake but no recipe—you’ll end up with a mess instead of something magical. I wanted to bring back the balance between nature and human intention, giving people the tools and know-how to clear their own energy.
